Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and disease surveillance for public health threats
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to coordinate response efforts
- Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Provide expert consultation to local health departments and community partners
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders
- Participate in emergency response planning and execution for public health incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or related field preferred
- Experience with epidemiological principles and disease surveillance
- Strong data analysis and statistical interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
