Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to develop evidence-based public health policies
- Collaborate with state agencies and community stakeholders on health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Monitor federal/state health regulations and ensure compliance
- Lead community outreach programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Manage grant-funded projects and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government roles
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong knowledge of Affordable Care Act and Medicaid regulations
- Excellent written communication with policy writing experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for community engagement
