Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based public health policies for border region implementation
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Coordinate multi-agency health initiatives with federal/local partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for legislative stakeholders
- Lead community outreach programs targeting underserved populations
- Monitor policy compliance and effectiveness through field assessments
- Manage grant-funded health equity projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years state/federal government policy experience
- Proficiency in health data analysis (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required
- Experience with border health initiatives preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and legislative relations skills
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation
