Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with community partners to design health education campaigns
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislature and public stakeholders
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical assistance to local health departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Arizona Public Health Certification (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health privacy laws
