Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions for diverse communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders to deliver health education programs
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead crisis response initiatives during public health emergencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
- Mentor junior staff and supervise community health worker teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and budget management
- Strong written/verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
