Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and health risk assessments to identify community health priorities
- Develop evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze health data trends and prepare actionable reports for county leadership
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and government agencies to implement health initiatives
- Design and deliver community outreach campaigns on health education and disease prevention
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and recommend policy improvements
- Manage grant-funded projects and oversee program budgets effectively
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Illinois public health regulations
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for diverse urban populations
- Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated report writing abilities
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
