Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs for underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and disease outbreak investigations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to address health disparities
- Analyze public health data to inform policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and reporting requirements
- Provide technical assistance to local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness response protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health sector
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health regulations
- Experience with community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends for community events
