Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on social and economic policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and executive summaries for leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental task forces and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Monitor federal policy developments and assess implications for Ohio
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage policy implementation timelines and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government/public sector policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS/R/Python)
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ohio residency required at time of hire
- Valid Ohio driver's license (travel to state agencies)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Experience with public budgeting processes preferred
