Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate complex policy issues related to housing, economic development, and public safety
- Research and interpret federal/state legislation to assess local impact and compliance requirements
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for executive leadership
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with community organizations, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Monitor performance metrics for city initiatives and prepare annual progress reports
- Coordinate intergovernmental relations with state and federal agencies
- Support grant applications and compliance for federal funding programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of government or policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Deep understanding of Ohio state and federal legislative processes
- Exceptional written communication with demonstrated report-writing skills
- Experience with GIS mapping and data visualization tools
- Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to travel within city limits
