Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy data and produce actionable reports for city council review
- Develop evidence-based recommendations on housing, transportation, and sustainability initiatives
- Coordinate cross-departmental implementation of new municipal policies
- Present findings to elected officials and community stakeholders
- Monitor policy outcomes using KPI tracking systems
- Manage grant-funded projects with $500K+ budgets
- Lead public engagement sessions for community feedback collection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Expertise in California municipal code and regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of translating complex data into executive summaries
- Valid California driver's license (required for field visits)
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days
