Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive legislative recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases and public records
- Collaborate with state agencies to implement policy initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior officials
- Monitor federal compliance requirements and state regulatory changes
- Develop public outreach materials and stakeholder engagement strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of NC state legislative processes
- Excellent written communication with sample policy writing portfolio
- US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
- Valid NC driver's license
