Responsibilities
- Analyze local legislation and regulatory impacts on community development
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for city council and executive leadership
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban planning initiatives
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using public data sources
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for sustainable growth strategies
- Present findings at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
- Monitor federal and state policy changes affecting municipal operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government or public sector analysis
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of Texas municipal governance frameworks
- Certification in Policy Analysis (PPA or equivalent) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license required
