Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for city council
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and industry partners
- Monitor budget allocations and fiscal implications of policy initiatives
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies on compliance and funding opportunities
- Present findings to executive leadership and public forums
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategies based on data outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python) and statistical modeling
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong understanding of federal/state/local government structures and regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Valid Washington State driver's license
