Responsibilities
- Analyze federal, state, and local legislation to inform policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on urban development initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for city officials
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify public needs
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and measure outcomes
- Advocate for equitable resource allocation across Memphis neighborhoods
- Stay current on emerging public administration best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, Excel, R)
- Deep understanding of Tennessee state regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with public budgeting processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement abilities
- U.S. citizenship required for federal compliance
