Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local government policies with socioeconomic impact assessments
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for city council initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on strategic planning projects
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and public-facing reports
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes with community groups
- Monitor legislative changes affecting municipal operations
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government or nonprofit policy experience
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Texas driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
- Experience with Austin municipal processes preferred
- Valid Texas Notary Commission (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
