Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local, state, and federal policies affecting Atlanta communities
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy briefings for city leadership
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban development projects
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on city operations
- Develop data-driven recommendations for equitable public service delivery
- Engage with stakeholders and community organizations to gather input
- Present findings to the Mayor's Office and City Council members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 3+ years of government or public sector policy experience
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding of Georgia state and Atlanta municipal governance
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Active security clearance or eligibility for federal background check
