Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and recommend evidence-based policy solutions
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and facilitate community engagement sessions
- Prepare concise reports and presentations for City Council review
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for public programs
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments on cross-functional initiatives
- Lead data-driven research using municipal datasets and GIS tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 3+ years of government or nonprofit policy experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS/R) and data visualization
- Strong written communication with policy brief samples required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
