Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts on vulnerable populations
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations using quantitative/qualitative data
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives for equitable service delivery
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for legislative committees
- Manage community engagement initiatives across Wayne County
- Monitor compliance with federal/state civil rights mandates
- Lead stakeholder workshops with advocacy groups and local government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization
- Demonstrated knowledge of Michigan's legislative process
- Experience with community outreach and stakeholder management
- Strong written communication for policy documents and reports
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Certification in Public Policy (CPP) preferred
