Responsibilities
- Manage emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers and first responders during critical situations
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams during major incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations
- Conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one year of customer service or communications experience
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Typing proficiency of 40+ words per minute
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch software
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
