Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate resources between police, fire, and medical services
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Operate radio communication equipment following established protocols
- Remain calm and authoritative during high-stress emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training for emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of customer service or call center experience
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in multi-tasking and decision-making under pressure
- Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (12-hour shifts)
