Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions to callers
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations
- Act as a liaison between public safety agencies and the public
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass thorough background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multitasking and stress management skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and emergency software
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Khmer highly desirable
