Responsibilities
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws with impartiality and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to emergency calls and conduct thorough incident investigations
- Collaborate with community groups to develop crime prevention programs
- Maintain detailed digital and physical documentation of all activities
- Operate specialized safety equipment and vehicles according to protocols
- Participate in continuous training for evolving public safety technologies
- Provide testimony in judicial proceedings when required
Qualifications
- Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement or public safety experience
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and incident reporting software
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- U.S. citizenship and Tennessee residency requirement
