Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and non-emergency lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via telephone
- Operate radio communication equipment per FCC regulations
- Participate in continuous training drills and scenario exercises
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- US citizenship and Nevada residency required
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills (40 WPM)
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Must be available for 24/7 rotating shifts
- No prior dispatch experience necessary
