Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls, dispatching appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain detailed call logs and radio communications with field units
- Utilize CAD systems to track incident statuses and resource allocation
- Provide pre-arrival emergency instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Update and maintain confidential records and databases
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Proficient in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
