Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Operate radio systems and maintain accurate incident logs
- Provide critical information to first responders during high-stress situations
- Monitor surveillance systems and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Maintain compliance with NIMS and emergency protocols
- Train on weekend-specific procedures and peak-hour protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year dispatch or public safety experience
- Valid EMT-B certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Fri-Sun/Sat-Mon)
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems
