Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents within city jurisdiction
- Conduct patrols to ensure public safety and deter criminal activity
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state regulations
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with local agencies during emergency response operations
- Provide community education on safety protocols and crime prevention
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts peacefully
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Colorado Peace Officer certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement or public safety
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to 24/7 emergencies
