Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to enforce laws and prevent criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and public disturbances
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and prepare detailed reports
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Conduct traffic stops and issue citations as needed
- Provide community outreach and public education programs
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Completion of state-approved law enforcement academy
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation
- Physical fitness to meet job demands (including lifting 50+ lbs)
- Basic computer proficiency and report writing skills
- Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
