Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity and to enforce laws and ordinances.
- Respond to emergency calls, alarms, and distress signals to ensure public safety.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, including observations, actions taken, and information gathered.
- Interact with the public to provide information, answer questions, and de-escalate tense situations.
- Assist in the investigation of crimes and evidence collection when required.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services during multi-agency operations.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and situational awareness during shifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- U.S. Citizenship or proof of legal residency status must be provided.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate radio equipment and mobile data terminals.
