Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to emergency calls including fires, medical incidents, and public safety threats
- Conduct thorough scene assessments and coordinate multi-agency response efforts
- Provide first aid and emergency medical support until professional medical teams arrive
- Execute disaster preparedness protocols during severe weather events
- Enforce public safety regulations at community gatherings and municipal facilities
- Maintain detailed incident reports and coordinate with city officials
- Participate in continuous training drills and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Current EMT-Basic or higher certification required
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years emergency services or public safety experience
- Ability to obtain Oklahoma Peace Officer certification within 6 months
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness certification demonstrating ability to handle strenuous duties
- Proficiency in emergency communication systems and incident reporting software
