Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas during weekend shifts to ensure public safety and deter criminal activity
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing first aid and crisis intervention
- Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend operations and special events
- Enforce state laws and regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Monitor surveillance systems and address security concerns at state facilities
- Participate in community outreach programs to build trust during weekend hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years of public safety or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) and holidays
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Proficient in incident reporting software and digital evidence collection
- Must pass comprehensive background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic first aid and CPR certification required
