Responsibilities
- Manage 911 emergency calls and prioritize dispatch for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment to coordinate field operations
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Collaborate with multiple agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Proficient in typing (40+ WPM) and computer systems
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- EMT certification or prior dispatch experience a plus
