Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of state facilities to ensure security protocols are maintained
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to emergency incidents promptly
- Enforce state regulations and provide assistance to visitors and staff
- Document incidents, activities, and observations in detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and security assessments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work flexible weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills for report documentation
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in outdoor conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
