Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles for state infrastructure initiatives
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and government liaisons
- Develop detailed project plans with clear milestones and deliverables
- Ensure strict compliance with federal/state regulations and procurement protocols
- Monitor project budgets and report financial progress to leadership
- Coordinate with local government officials and community stakeholders
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and quality assurance measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years project management experience in government/public sector
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
- Expertise in Illinois procurement laws and public funding regulations
- Proven track record managing infrastructure projects over $1M
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Project and Primavera
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder management
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
