Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach programs for diverse Oakland neighborhoods
- Analyze policy impacts using data-driven research and stakeholder feedback
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects for municipal service optimization
- Manage public inquiries and resolve constituent concerns with empathy and efficiency
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and executive leadership
- Facilitate public hearings and community forums on urban development initiatives
- Collaborate with non-profit partners to enhance service delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, SQL)
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge of California public sector regulations and compliance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience with grant writing and budget management preferred
