Responsibilities
- Manage departmental budgets, procurement processes, and contract compliance for public infrastructure projects
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and prepare executive reports for city council presentations
- Oversee permit processing, regulatory compliance, and documentation for municipal construction activities
- Implement digital transformation initiatives in public works operations and record management systems
- Lead community outreach initiatives for infrastructure development projects
- Analyze operational data to optimize resource allocation and service delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of administrative experience in municipal government or public works
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government procurement software (e.g., SAP)
- Texas Class 'C' Driver's License with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ)
- Experience with GIS mapping and infrastructure project management tools
- Ability to obtain FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) certification within 6 months
