Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field inspections of construction sites for code compliance
- Review and approve engineering plans and specifications
- Investigate citizen complaints and resolve infrastructure issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and violation notices
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and city officials
- Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility standards
- Manage project documentation and permit tracking
Qualifications
- High school diploma with 5+ years construction inspection experience
- Wisconsin Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
