Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with municipal codes and engineering specifications
- Review and approve contractor documentation, permits, and progress reports
- Investigate public complaints regarding infrastructure issues and coordinate resolutions
- Conduct field surveys and prepare detailed inspection reports using GIS software
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Enforce environmental and safety regulations on construction sites
- Test materials for quality assurance and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of construction inspection or public works experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with clean record
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and construction management software
- Strong knowledge of Wisconsin building codes and ADA standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
