Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility
- Document project progress through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve issues
- Conduct soil testing and material quality assessments
- Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility standards are maintained
- Manage project documentation and compliance records
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of construction inspection or engineering experience
- Valid Louisiana Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of municipal building codes and regulations
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
