Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections of construction projects for compliance with city codes and engineering specifications
- Review and approve contractor submittals, plans, and permit applications
- Document violations and enforce corrective actions through formal notices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical disputes
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital records
- Represent the city at public hearings and community meetings
Qualifications
- Minnesota Class D Water/Wastewater Operator certification required
- 3+ years construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS mapping software
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of ICC and Minnesota building codes
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50 lbs
