Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, street sweepers, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather
- Assist in construction projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DC municipal codes and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
