Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including snow removal, leaf collection, and street sweeping during all seasons.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of sidewalks, curbs, and public infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as loaders, graders, and sweepers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload construction materials, debris, and supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Respond to emergency public works calls and weather-related maintenance requests promptly.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and compliant with all city safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Ohio Class B Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment is preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
