Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain public infrastructure including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and graders under certified supervision
- Perform site preparation including grading, trenching, and material placement
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on complex construction plans
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy construction or public works experience
- Valid Nevada Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and substance screening
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
