Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including street sweepers, snowplows, and asphalt rollers
- Perform routine maintenance on city sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping and playground equipment upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow removal, flooding response)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban development projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (Class B) preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
