Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and sidewalk repairs
- Operate heavy equipment such as compactors, loaders, and street sweepers
- Maintain public spaces including parks, plazas, and public buildings
- Implement snow removal and emergency response protocols
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction/maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Certification in equipment operation preferred (e.g., CDL Class B)
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
