Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform road maintenance, pothole repairs, and street cleaning
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and flood prevention
- Conduct routine park and public space upkeep (landscaping, equipment repair)
- Support emergency response teams during natural disasters
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document daily work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Spanish language proficiency a plus
