Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on sidewalks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (saws, compactors) for construction projects
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control initiatives
- Support recycling/waste reduction programs across city districts
- Document field activities using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban forestry projects
- Respond to weather-related emergencies (snow, flooding)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal safety protocols
- Experience with hand/power tools and equipment operation
