Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders) with precision and safety
- Install/maintain storm drains, sidewalks, and road surfaces
- Adhere to OSHA protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Conduct site inspections and report maintenance needs
- Participate in emergency response during weather events
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Class B CDL license
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in extreme conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and survey equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
