Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform road maintenance, pothole repairs, and street sweeping
- Assist in snow removal during winter emergencies
- Maintain parks, trails, and green spaces
- Install and repair traffic signs and signals
- Follow OSHA safety protocols for all tasks
- Document work progress and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment familiarity
- Commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience in construction or landscaping preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
