Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and trenching for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Install/maintain drainage systems, sidewalks, and street markings
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control activities
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with crews to maintain public spaces and facilities
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and site cleanup duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to follow written instructions and communicate effectively
