Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, paving, and maintaining roads/sidewalks
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related infrastructure damage
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Document work progress and complete daily activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction materials
